Dear Christian Friends & Supporters,

The end of the summer is close and it is good to say that with special care from God we have survived the great heat of this season. And we continue giving thanks as we feel the warmth and generous support from you towards us and this ministry. For that we give many thanks.

Mario Will Preach at the First Christian Church that was Established in Piedras Negras

As we conduct a memorial service for Maria de Jesus (Chita) Cerda, Mario will be preaching the good news in the Buena Vista church which was the first established church in Piedras Negras.  It will be a very special time to see and fellowship with friends and brothers of other churches in the area.  It will be a great time spiritual growth and encouragement.  It will be a massive evangelistic program.  A beautiful opportunity.

Results from the 2006 Chamacuero Christian Camp Mario Served as President

This summer was glorious and fruitful in all aspects.  There were 58 campers in the first week were there was a great number of life dedications to God. Minister Homero Rincon was the dean for this week.

The second week was conducted by Carlos Garza, a pastor in our area.  There were 78 campers.  Some dedicated their lives to Christ and 4 were baptized.

The third week was conducted by Ismael Castillo a young missionary in the area. There were numerous dedications and 9 baptisms.  We thank God for this great victory.

During one of the weekends there was a short camping program for 20+ years and college aged student where 22 attended.

Ministry Workshops with John Ferrer

The first week of August was a great opportunity to train youth for Christian ministry. There were 60 ministry candidates who assisted.  John David Ferrer who received his masters in Divinity & Apologetics from Dallas.  It was a great experience for our youth.  The challenge was given and several accepted the call of which we give praise to God.

Alumni Annual Reunion of Colegio Biblico

Mario serves as president of this annual meeting which will take event September 15-17 in the Piedras Negras campus of Colegio Biblico.  The theme we are going to touch will be “Re-evaluating our Ministry” being taught by one of our board members Dan Villareal.  It will be a great time of fellowship and encounter with old and life long friends.  It will be very refreshing for Mario to see many of his students from his 23 years of ministry as teacher at Colegio Biblico.

Statewide Reunion of Christian Ministers

On September 11 we will be holding this statewide meeting in Piedras Negras.  It will be held in one of the bigger churches of the area since we are expecting 400 ministers to attend.  Mario has an active role as the coordinator of this event.  We ask for your prayers to have strength and wisdom to see this through.
