Dear Friends and Supporters,                                                                            May & June 2008

With so much love and respect, we give thanks to you for your continuing love and support for God’s work and ministry here on the border of Piedras Negras (Mexico/USA).

Many beautiful and great things have been happening around here. After much prayer, searching and asking for land to build a community center, God has provided. In it we will be able to build a church assembly place, a dinning room to offer the “Bread of Life” program that feeds needy kids for lunch both spiritually and physically. Also feeding elderly in the evenings and offering a food pantry for the community all around us. On May 15 we officially received title and documents for the land from Mayor Jesus Mario Flores and Governor Humberto Moreira. Praise God for His infinite faithfulness and provision!!

In receiving the land we continue asking for your prayers and financial support, for this is where the work begins. If you had been planning to support with the purchase of the land, please continue supporting the project. We need to file legal documentation as non-profit and ownership of land with Restore Cultural Center Association. From here it will take much sweat, work and effort for the actual construction of all the facilities. We count on your support and maybe even your physical help and assistance as we work on making an impact for Christ in this community. We give glory to God for His many blessings.

With God’s strength and guidance we continue being part of the Texas Hispanic Convention as coordinators. On May 21 we met and finalized the programming and invitation of speakers and presenters. There will be programming for adults, youth, children and great music events. It is safe to say that it is all ready, on paper, and now working on sending out publicity for this event. We are excited to see what God has in store for this event.

In April we were able to see our son Mario, Vanessa and Aiyana in Orlando as we attended the National New Church Conference in which we were able to hear Rick Warren speak (Mario Jr. translated in Spanish for him). It was a great blessing.

In April we began our second year in Radio programming on KEPX 89.5. Our listeners have increased and every week we present new material encouraging many people in our surrounding. People overall have responded in a very positive way. They look forward to listening to our weekly program, which we feel blessed to see God use us as His instruments to inspire and encourage lives with His unchanging message. With the support of many listeners we had a very successful Radio Marathon, which we hold every six month. God has provided what is needed for the next six months. We ask for your prayer for strength and ability to continue this radio ministry.

We give thanks to God for providing the technical support and pc to use Power Point for our songs and message. This allows us to use graphics and visuals to better communicate His message to people hearts. Seems like little, but it helps a lot in this extra effort through this new tool of technology.

Correction From Last Letter

Before we say farewell we need to make a correction from the prior letter concerning the date for the Doctorate Emeritus Ceremony in which Mario will be receiving his Doctorate in Missions.
