Dear Christian Friends: May 2007 It is a joy and privilege to use these means to express our gratitude for your continuous prayers and support to this ministry. You are all of great value and importance. Thank you for your faithful support. Great Easter Campaign in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila. God manifested Himself through the teaching of His word. Mario preached and Betty brought special music at this event. We were blessed to spend valuable time with Pastor Jesus Rangel and his wife Teofila at Col. Morelos Church of Christ. Three people came to accept and confess Christ as their Savior. There was a great awakening and God’s presence was felt in this beautiful and growing community. Praise God for these new souls!!! Chamacuero Christian Camp On April 14 Mario directed the spring annual meeting for Chamacuero in Eagle Pass, Texas, and Betty attended. The coordinators presented the academic program/curriculum. These coordinators will direct weeks of camp for children, pre-teenagers and for youth during July and August. An excellent program was presented and accepted in unison. We are hoping to have around 300 campers in assistance. Mario y Betty will be staying at camp for a serval weekends over June. Since camp is now open 365 days a year, ministers and groups have created a rotation schedule to guard and host the camp while various church groups use the camp. This is a new form to minister to those camping. Hispanic Texas Convention in San Antonio November 2007 On April 21 we also held a meeting to coordinate the academic curriculum and themes for the Hispanic Texas Convention. The theme “Celebrating Unity” was chosen. Message, seminar and shop themes were chosen for adult, youth and children, since it is a family event. The musical groups and worship leaders were also selected for all the various age groups. Mario serves as the coordinator of this event and Betty serves as the secretary. This month, we have been very busy in communication with a lot of people by telephone and mail. We are excited about this event! New Church Being Built in Piedras Negras July 2007 We give thanks to God for friends like Ed Thomas & Joe Wilson, directors of World Mission Builders, who will be here July 9 thru the 20th. They will bring a team of builders and funds to build a new building for Ebenezer Church of Christ. We extend an invitation to you if you wish to join us in this task. Let us know, we would be glad to have you! A new church, new hope, a new opportunity! We are so excited! Weekly Radio Program Continues We continue on KEPX 89.5 FM Radio Manantial, with an hour long radio program. We transmit this live weekly program called “Memories and Something Else.” Hymns are played and accompanied with their background. We have had great response from listeners. We are blessed and encouraged as we share these valuable stories and Biblical background of these beautiful hymns. We ask for your prayers for strength and ability to continue. News from The Calderon Family Another school year is over and our grandchildren Chavez/Calderon will start visiting our home more often as Abner and Claudia continue their work during the summer. Mashyell will be in Phoenix from May 18 thru the 26. She is finishing her internship and final exam for her Doctorate on Administration in Education. She continues teaching special education in the Eagle Pass School District. We ask your prayers for her future plans. Mario y Vanessa will be visiting us, “praise God” from June 11 thru the 20th. They are currently living in Kansas City but will be starting their full time ministry in Winston Salem, NC on July 1st. Mario has accepted a ministry position as Creative Arts/Worship Pastor in a new church plant called Bridges Church. They will also be parents of a beautiful baby girl in October, which makes us a pair of spoiled grandparents once again. Please keep all our family in your prayers. We want to conclude by giving you our deep gratitude for your faithful support towards this ministry, a ministry which you support and make possible since 1962. Thank you!!! Your Missionaries in Mexico
